First Promo Image From RZA’s Directorial Debut “The Man With the Iron Fists” Released

The first promotional shot from producer, rapper, and actor RZA’s directorial debut, The Man With the Iron Fists, has hit the net. RZA revealed the image from his Kung-Fu flick late last night (June 27). He tweeted, ”Giving u 1st look at snapshot of my trailer ‘Iron Fist’ comin n 2 days.” The Man With the Iron Fists was co-written by RZA and Hostel and Cabin Fever director, Eli Roth. The $20 million production, which was filmed on-location in China at the beginning of last year, has a highly-respected cast in Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Jamie Chung, Pam Grier, Dave Batista, RZA, and a number of high-profile martial arts stars from Asia like Chia Hui Liu, Rick Yune, Ka-Yan Leung, and Kuan Tai Chen. Produced by Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth, The Man With the Iron Fists stars RZA as blacksmith who is tasked with defending his village in feudal China. A theatrical trailer for The Man With the Iron Fists, which is being produced by Roth and Academy Award-winning director Quentin Tarantino, is expected to be released later this week. This will be RZA and Crowe’s third film collaboration, following the release of 2007′s American Gangster and 2010′s The Next Three Days. RZA will next be seen as Blind Master in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and is also rumored to have an unspecified role in Tarantino’s Django Unchained, which will be released on Christmas Day. Check out the first promo image from the film below:

Wyclef Jean Set To DJ In NYC For Fourth of July; Lil Jon Also Part Of Arrival Fest Lineup

Former Fugees member Wyclef Jean will take a step away from the microphone and the guitar next week to play DJ for the Fourth of July.
Housed at New York City’s picturesque The Waterfront on Pier 92, “ARRIVAL: An All-Day Rooftop Beach Party” will be deejayed by Wyclef Jean, along with appearances from superstar producer and rapper, Lil Jon, and well-known Australian DJs, Hook N Sling, who produced “The Best Thing” and “Gotta Make a Move”. ARRIVAL concertgoers will also see performances from Ken Loi, known for his LMFAO remixes, The EC Twins, electronic up and comer Serge Devant. Fans will want to stay through the end of the night for the 40,000-light Macy’s “Ignite the Night” display over the Hudson River – billed as the best fireworks show in America. Event planners will donate a portion of the event’s proceeds to the Hudson River Park Trust partnership, aimed at constructing and beautifying the historic Hudson River Park.
